Graduate Prospects has launched a digimag devoted to education jobs and careers following increased demand from students and graduates hoping to enter the teaching profession.

The number of students and graduates seeking education careers information and advice at prospects.ac.uk has increased by more than a fifth year-on-year.

In response Graduate Prospects has launched Prospects Teaching and Education – a 19-page digimag containing industry insight, job search advice and postgraduate study options; offering recruiters an opportunity to promote PGCE, TEFL and SCITT schemes to those who are actively seeking employment or further study in this area.

Students and graduates can read the annual digimag on the Teaching and Education hub at prospects.ac.uk, which receives 1.4m unique visitors every month. It will be emailed twice a year to 83,000 subscribers interested in teaching and education and promoted through social media.

Mike Hill, chief executive at Graduate Prospects said: “Over the last few years interest in careers in teaching has soared. This new digimag is our response to increased demand for quality jobs information, advice and opportunities from students and graduates.”

As part of the launch of Prospects Teaching and Education, Graduate Prospects ran a competition to design the front cover. Glasgow School of Art graduate and freelance textile designer and illustrator, Jo Faulkner won. It features the handwritten alphabet on a job hunter’s shirt.
