Barham to lead fish4jobs sales drive

fish4 bolsters sales team and IT department

fish4.co.uk, the home, jobs and cars website has underlined its intention to increase its market-leading position in 2008 by making two high-profile appointments.

Matt Barham has been unveiled as national sales director for fish4jobs, a role that sees him charged with increasing business customer and job seekers using the nationís most popular jobs website. Matt was previously director of SME sales for fish4jobs and has been appointed to the role following the promotion of Mark Lister to the position of chief commercial officer in September.

In addition, Paul Ellerbeck has joined fish4 as IT director and will work across the jobs, homes and cars brands. His priorities include ensuring fish4 continues to provide a compelling experience for users as well as rolling out improvements to ensure the site keeps innovating and appeal to advertisers as well as jobseekers, house hunters and car buyers. Paul previously worked as the technical services manager for Teletext.

The new appointments will bolster the fish4 team and come following a successful September which has seen traffic across the site reach the highest levels ever.

fish4 chief executive, Joe Slavin said of the appointments, ìBringing Matt and Paul on board will bolster the fish4 team and ensure that we are uppermost in the minds of existing and prospective advertisers when they face business challenges ñ whether they are recruiting new staff or selling homes and vehicles.

ìBringing them both on board also means we now have an even stronger team with which to face 2008 when fish4 will look to innovate even further and increase our market-leading position.î
