Caterer.Com is to become a specialist recruitment web site on 20 October, in order to capitalise on the rapid migration of hospitality industry job seekers to the Internet.
The site already carries more hospitality jobs than any other UK site. In September alone job seekers made 737,000 searches of 10,000 vacancies.
Recruitment dwarfs all other traffic on the site so it makes sense to focus even more on this area said Publisher Gary Crossley. The site will also move on to a new technical platform on October 20 which will make the job seeking experience even faster.
The site moved in to profit in July this year, less than two years after launch. It has beaten all financial projections in 2003 and is the clear market leader.
Head of marketing Michael Robinson said: The site has seen meteoric growth this year. More and more job seekers in the industry seem to be searching and applying online. We’re responding by ensuring that Caterer.com provides more of what they want and make the site generally more accessible.
Caterer.com is part of The Potential Job Board Company (PJB) Limited, a company which specialises in online recruitment. Other PJB sites include Totaljobs.com, CWJobs.co.uk, Jobability.com.
