Students to benefit from new source of careers information at nusonline
Graduate Prospects, the UK provider of graduate careers and recruitment solutions, and the National Union of Students (NUS) have joined forces to provide a new source of careers information for students.
Career Zone is a new category which has been added to the advice section of nusonline, the student organisation’s web site, and has content provided by Graduate Prospects, which runs the national graduate recruitment website Prospects.ac.uk.
The partnership means that Graduate Prospects will supply three new careers related articles every week under the headings ’Get a Job’, ’Find a Course’ and ’Get Advice’. In addition there will be a link to Prospects.ac.uk where students can sign up to a wide variety of the site’s interactive features such as jobs by email, CV checking, email a careers adviser, My Prospects email newsletter, live chats with employers and a graduate forum.
Graduate Prospects chief executive Mike Hill comments: We are delighted to have initiated this relationship with the NUS. It makes perfect sense for our two organisations to be working together to help students and graduates find the right career path and job after they complete their higher education studies.
The NUS will email its members to alert them to the new Career Zone section and it will also be featured in the organisation’s monthly email newsletter.
NUS National Secretary, Penny Hollings, said: NUS is delighted to be working with Graduate Prospects on providing a new opportunity for students and graduates to develop their career paths. In the current economic climate it is important for undergraduates to receive sound and professional advice about the job market and future careers and we believe Careers Zone and Graduate Prospects are the way to deliver this for our members.
