Monster names Kim Walma to lead marketing department in the UK

Monster has announced that Kim Walma has been appointed Head of Marketing at Monster Worldwide for the UK region.
In her new role, Kim will be responsible for formulating and leading the company''s overall B2B and B2C marketing strategies across its two divisions: Monster.co.uk, and TMP Worldwide Advertising and Communications, the UK''s largest recruitment advertising and communications agency. Her remit also includes to determine how to best position both brands in the UK marketplace and to optimise the synergies between the two divisions.

Kim will report to Andrew Wilkinson, Head of Monster Worldwide for the UK. The team will be expanded with the addition of a new Strategic Partnerships Manager and a Marketing Communications Manager, who will be appointed in the near future.

Kim joins Monster from AOL UK, where she held various responsibilities within their Interactive Marketing Group. As Head of Sales Strategy and B2B Marketing, Kim was responsible for optimising sales activities and promoting AOL''s audience and online marketing capabilities to UK media agencies and advertisers. Before joining AOL, Kim was Director of Appleseed Arts, a London-based specialist marketing consultancy, which she set up during the dot.com boom. Prior to this she was an Account Director at Landor and Futurebrand, two leading brand strategy consultancies, and also worked in Corporate Communications at Coca-Cola''s Headquarters in Atlanta.

Kim earned a BSc (Hons) degree in Marketing from the State University of Pennsylvania, and a MA from the University of Manchester, UK. She is a classically trained soprano and sings with the London Symphony Chorus in her spare time.
