Video Centre 2.0 Provides ëMissing Linkí

Delivers Full Automation, Integration to Recruitment Market

In2Vista video solution ëdesigned by recruiters, for recruitersí ñ Media Centre 2.0 manages seamless process with all recruitment company and client applications

In2Vista Ltd, has launched Video Centre 2.0 and Media Centre 2.0, designed to automate fully the capture and distribution of videoed candidate interviews, which sits at the heart of the companyís In2View recruitment support solution.

ìIn2View is an easy-to-use, integrated communication system that creates, collates and distributes the critical information driving every recruitment decision, supplementing more traditional methods with the inclusion of streaming video,î confirms co-founder and managing director, William Barribal. ìCentral to this is Video Centre 2.0, a ëfly on the wallí video capture device which provides clients with valuable additional insights into each candidate early on in the interview process.

ìUnlike other ëperson to deviceí video systems in which the candidate talks directly to camera, the concept of Video Centre from day one has been to provide clients with what they want to see: a realistic view of the candidate in an interview situation,î he says.

ìIn response, Video Centre captures part of the interview in a uniquely elegant way: though the candidate is aware of the system, it does not interfere with the process in any way.î

Major investment
Video Centre was launched in 2004 in an essentially manual format, in order to prove the value of using video in the recruitment process. As a result, In2Vista received ëoverwhelming confirmationí from clients that seeing the candidate face-to-face in this way was a valuable additional tool in selecting who to call for interview.

ìRecruitment is an intensely admin-heavy process,î points out Barribal, ìand so, having established its potential value, we had to make Video Centre easy to use in order for it to be truly effective ñ a complex challenge. We therefore undertook an intensive 18-month development programme to automate the end-to-end process, based on our own extensive experience working as recruitment consultants in this environment.

ìWe have used our knowledge to design a product that automatically captures this video-based information, with minimal manual intervention or administration, and collates it with existing candidate data.

ìCritically, Video Centre 2.0 has been designed to interface with all recruitment database applications,î he confirms. ìThe complete process is managed by Media Centre 2.0, now a core component of the solution: as a result it provides the ëmissing linkí, enabling recruitment companies to present a complete picture of the candidate to clients for the first time in a seamless, straight-through process.î

For Barribal, the key to Video Centreís success is that it directly addresses a long-standing recruitment problem, that of lack of candidate visibility. ìIt has been designed by recruiters for recruiters,î he says, ìand sits alongside existing business processes, capturing valuable candidate information and insights which until now have been irretrievably lost.î
