Comment on the Markit/REC Report on Jobs

“While 2016 got off to a strong start, it appears that shortages of candidates with the right skills are really starting to bite in certain sectors, such as construction and nursing. The referendum on the EU could be happening mid-year and while that doesn’t appear to be affecting hiring decisions now, that may change as we draw closer to it. Our own survey showed that around one in five contractors think that a ‘Brexit’ would have a negative impact on their contracting opportunities in the future.”
