NES Global Talent Opens Office in Japan

Expands global footprint to support energy clients, candidates and contractors

NES Global Talent, the specialist manpower solutions provider, has announced the opening of a new office in Yokohama, Japan, as recruitment activity increases.

It is NES Global Talent’s first office in Japan and the operation will act as a hub for business activity across the country, ensuring the company is best placed to support energy clients, candidates and contractors.

Matt Underhill, Regional Director, Asia Pacific at NES Global Talent, said: “We are excited by the job opportunities available in Japan.  Our operation is going to meet demand on a number of fronts; first and foremost many of our global clients are supporting specialist engineering talent in Japan overseeing new projects, particularly in the LNG space. Having an office on the ground in this regard, in the vicinity of this talent pool is going to meet a much needed service. Secondly, our Japanese clients are increasingly working overseas and the ability for them to have a local representative on hand to facilitate the use of NES Global Talent’ worldwide network will be invaluable. Lastly we continue to generate local hiring needs in Japan and these can now be serviced in county.

“The Japanese energy market is particularly interesting right now, both on the international stage and within the local domestic energy markets. With recent events around the nuclear power industry, Japan is currently undergoing a significant review of their energy supply, and this will undoubtedly create opportunities as the market evolves. Being in country allows us to build up the network of talent across all the energy markets to service the future needs of our clients. This is an investment that has both short and long term opportunities for NES Global Talent.”

NES Global Talent’s Yokohama office is located in Yokohama Landmark Tower in the Minato Mirai area of the city. It is managed locally by Yousef Ayub, Operations Manager, who previously worked at the company’s office in Singapore. NES Global Talent plans to make further hires during the course of 2014/15.

Yousef said: “Japan has long held a position at the forefront of engineering technology on the world’s stage. Their interest for high quality talent, such as those that NES Global Talent represents is very high, and we are already experiencing high levels of demand and interest for our manpower solutions.

“We anticipate an increase in recruitment activity across Japan and are excited to be here, on the ground, to help clients, candidates and contractors to make the most of those opportunities.”
