Glassdoor reveals the 20 highest rated UK companies for work-life balance

Goodman Masson, Cisco Systems and HomeServe UK Top The List

Glassdoor®, the world’s most transparent jobs and recruiting marketplace, today identified which UK companies offer the best work-life balance1. Winners are ranked based on their overall work-life balance rating from employees in the UK during the past year. For reporting simplicity, ratings are rounded to one decimal place though actual calculations extend beyond the thousandth to determine rank.

According to Glassdoor’s data, the average Work-Life Balance rating across all companies for full year 2013, 2014 and 2015 has remained at 3.2.

Diarmuid Russell, Glassdoor Head of International said: Maintaining a healthy work-life balance can be tough in today’s environment, with ever-increasing demands on our time. However, as millions of UK employees head back to work after enjoying the August Bank Holiday, our report shows there are companies that offer a good balance between their home and work life. What’s encouraging for job seekers is that there are representatives here from many industries, including recruitment, tech, finance, manufacturing and retail.”

Companies that didn’t quite make the top 20 this year include Google, GlaxoSmithKline, Network Rail and the BBC.
