The UK’s leading job advert distribution and candidate sourcing company Broadbean Technology has hired Alex Charles as Global CTO.
Alex was the founder of iProfile, the online CV network which has revolutionised how candidates update their information with recruiters where he will now take up a non-executive role. He also sits as Co-Chair of the APSCo Technology Forum (Association of Professional Staffing Companies) and is a Board Director of the HR-XML consortium, a not for profit global organisation leading global HR data standards.
Commenting on his new role Alex said: ‘What Broadbean is doing now, both internationally and in terms of technical development, is very exciting. I’m really looking forward to working on adding to the value proposition for clients and capitalising on the fantastic position they have in the market.’
Dan McGuire, Managing Director of Broadbean said of the appointment “When making an appointment of this magnitude, it is absolutely vital that the candidate’s ambition matches that of the business. I’ve known Alex for over seven years and have always been hugely impressed with how easily he combines technology and business. He has a rare blend of skills and experience and his vision for Broadbean is very much in line with my own and that of the board. When we created this role we set our sights particularly high and it’s fair to say there are only a very small number of individuals who could hit the ground running in such a position. Naturally, I’m delighted that we were able to secure our first choice.”
