eMarketer reports that at the end of June 2002, 26 million Japanese households had at least one computer and Internet access.
This is according to a new study from Prudential Financial which shows that the number of online households in Japan has more than doubled since early 2000.
In February 2000, only 12.5 million Japanese households were online.
However since that time, the number of households has risen dramatically.
By March 2001, the number of online households in Japan had surged to 21.3 million.
