A pocket-sized careers guide for engineering students will be launched this week at the AGCAS conference at the University of Warwick. Published by Gradcracker, the website for engineering students, the guide covers where to look for jobs, what employers look for in graduates and how to put together an attention-grabbing application. This handy reference tool will be distributed free to all university careers advisors.
Angela Lockhart, Gradcracker’s University Liaison Manager said:- “Gradcracker spends a lot of time on campus talking to students and it was apparent that many have become disillusioned after poor experiences while job hunting. This pocket-sized guide – ideal for even the shortest attention span – helps students better understand the graduate recruitment market and the needs of employers”.
Gradcracker is expecting a successful launch - a number of universities have pre-ordered copies of the guide and many of Gradcracker’s engineering employers have also requested copies to give away at careers fairs.
