Totaljobs.com launches new mobile technology for jobseekers

New offer makes Totaljobs.com industry leader in mobile technology

Totaljobs.com, one of the UK’s leading recruitment websites, today launches a new feature which enables jobseekers to search and apply for jobs on the move.

Totaljobs.com has developed specific mobile technology for the site to allow for optimised web page access, enabling jobseekers to have a streamlined user experience and the ability to search the over 90,000 live job adverts on the site. In addition, the ability to auto populate certain fields will minimise the amount of user input required to undertake key tasks, allowing them to efficiently apply for jobs.

The new mobile feature will allow users to apply for jobs on their mobile by sending a pre-loaded CV and cover letter to specific jobs whilst on the move. The innovative technology will give wider access to job adverts, leading to greater and a more wide-ranging applicant base for recruiters.

Caterina Masso, senior marketing manager, totaljobs.com says: “Market research shows that mobile Internet users[1] <#_ftn1> will overtake PC Internet users in the next 4 years and with additional research[2] <#_ftn2> outlining that Smartphone and tablet shipments are overtaking PC’s, it’s important for us to develop an offering to suit the changing needs of our jobseeker population. Traffic to totaljobs.com from mobile devices has quadrupled in the last year, further confirming the trend.”

Additionally Masso believes this will help recruiters find relevant candidates: “By offering jobseekers the ability to access job adverts on the go, they can be more targeted in their approach to applying for jobs. As a result, we anticipate that for our recruiter clients, totaljobs.com will be able to deliver even better matching of candidates to jobs.”

Adding mobile access is part of a wider development of products and services across parent company Totaljobs Group. The technology is also being rolled out on to its other websites caterer.com, careerstructure.com, cwjobs.co.uk, retailchoice.com and salestarget.co.uk.
