JAM Recruitment launches London global mobility team

Recruitment consultancy JAM Recruitment has created a dedicated global mobility team at its newly established London office to further develop its strong presence in the expanding expatriate management market

Recruitment consultancy JAM Recruitment has created a dedicated global mobility team at its newly established London office to further develop its strong presence in the expanding expatriate management market.

The firm – which now boasts seven specialist mobility consultants across its Manchester and London offices – has made the move in response to increasing demand for professionals to manage the movement of employees across international boundaries.

JAM Recruitment has worked in the global mobility market for more than six years and has placed more than 500 candidates in roles across the UK, Europe and further afield.

The team aims to further develop JAM’s work in the arena by growing its portfolio of international clients – particularly those in Europe – and further expanding its candidate database.

Matthew Reaney, director at JAM Recruitment, said: “As international boundaries become less of a barrier to business, relocating employees to territories where their skills are needed and sourcing expertise from overseas have become commonplace.

“As a result, an effective global mobility function has become crucial to any large business.

“Expatriate management is a highly specialised discipline within HR and detailed territory-by-territory knowledge of regulations, processes and other complexities is required for transitions to be managed efficiently and cost-effectively.

“We have extensive experience in the area and have placed not only individuals but entire global mobility teams within our client organisations.

“Demand for roles in this area has increased rapidly in recent years and the volume of placements we handle every year has allowed us to build a dedicated team with the capacity to expand our presence in the market.

“It is our ethos to get as close to our clients as we can, meeting face-to-face whenever possible, so a permanent global mobility presence in London is essential.

“There is a great deal of opportunity for growth in this area and we are actively recruiting for consultants to join the team to give us the capacity to capitalise on it.”

JAM was a lead sponsor of the Totally Expat Show Europe 2011 and the team was at the event to advise attendees on how to meet their global mobility needs.
