Job Patch are celebrating the release of their brand new job search application for the iPhone, which has just gone live within the iTunes store. The application, built with technology provided by AllTheTopBananas.com, enables job seekers to search for jobs in all sectors within the Midlands area and apply for jobs directly with their iPhone, making the job search fully mobile.
The application gives proactive jobseekers the opportunity to get ahead in their job search; providing them with the latest, most up-to-date jobs from Job Patch. Job seekers can keep up with all of the latest vacancies as they become available, and save, email or apply for the jobs with the iPhone. The application allows the job seeker to refine their search by entering specific location data, or using the iPhone's inbuilt GPS to match their location to the job search.
The application also enables job seekers to search by job title and salary for accurate job results. Those jobs which a user has already viewed appear greyed out for an enhanced user experience.
Philip Sharples, MD of Job Patch said: “Working with AllTheTopBananas was an effortless process and suited our needs as we are always striving to improve our service to meet our customer’s needs- for both the employer and the job seeker. This is the first of many new and innovative concepts we intend to implement this year. We hope our users find this new application a useful tool for their job searching armory.”
Job Patch's iPhone application is the first UK job search app which provides jobs for region based job seeking, putting them ahead of the competition in this sector of the mobile web space.
Dave Martin, MD of AllTheTopBananas.com says: We are delighted to have been able to work with Job Patch to help create their iPhone application for job seekers in the Midlands. It is fantastic to see generalist, niche and regional job boards embracing mobile web, as it provides an invaluable resource for job seekers on the move. Many of our clients have seen a huge growth in mobile user interaction after launching their app. Interestingly, not just in downloads from the AppStore, but also in users visiting the website from an iPhone. In a couple of cases there has been as much as 2 or 3 times growth, which positively shows that job seekers are embracing the service, and is also an excellent achievement for brand awareness and recognition in the mobile space. The iPhone is the web beyond the browser, and this exciting and powerful space is one that all businesses should consider having a presence within.
The Job Patch iPhone app is available to download now from the iTunes AppStore.
