IR35 hits domestic workers

IR35 hits Nannies.

IR35 has now been extended to catch domestic workers such as nannies or gardeners.

This applies to services provided on or after Wednesday 9th April 2003.

This is a blow for the recruitment agents and intermediaries who had been considering broadening into this area.

The probable outcome is that individuals will now deal direct and cut out the recruitment specialists.
