StepStone has announced that recent Nielsen/NetRatings site traffic numbers validate its placement as the leader in the online careers category.

According to Nielsen/NetRatings, StepStone had 50% more unique users in February than the next two closest pan-European competitors, Jobpilot and Monster.com, with 580,000 and 507,000 respectively, and more than double the number than that of Scandinavian CV database company, Jobline, which had 407,000 unique users in February. In addition, total subscribers to StepStone have tripled in the last year, from 285,000 subscribers in February 2000 to more than 860,000 total subscribers today.
