Monster.co.uk has partnered with Freeserve Internet TV - a new version of the Freeserve portal developed specifically for Internet TV viewing. Through this partnership, jobseekers with any Internet capable TV device will now be able to explore new career opportunities from the comfort of their own sofa. Visitors to the Careers section of www.freeserve.com/tv will now have access to the entire Monster.co.uk jobs database, Job Search agent, CV Builder and Post a Job, all customised to fit in with the style and functionality of Freeserve television.
Through its successful partnership with ONdigital ONnet secured in December 2000, and now Freeserve, Monster.co.uk has been one of the first careers sites to recognise a new way of delivering sound professional advice and job opportunities to the UK community through interactive television. This new relationship signifies a further step in Monster.co.ukís ongoing strategy to broaden its offering, extending its services to more jobseekers around the country to meet the needs of a wider UK audience.
Access to the Freeserve television portal is available via Bush Internet televisions and Surf Sets which are sold through the Dixons Store Group, in Currys, Dixons and The Link.
Bella Hubble, managing director, Monster.co.uk commented ìOur partnership with Freeserve allows us the opportunity to deliver lifelong careers advice and real job opportunities to a whole new market of Internet TV users, enabling us to extend our service to even more of the UK community. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to ensuring that our offering is available to all professionals across the UK, whether through computer or television, both in the office and at homeî.
Jon Gisby, managing director of the Freeserve Portals commented ìAn important Freeserve goal is to be the destination of choice across different Internet access devices.
