The Professional Cricketers Association has embarked on a recruitment partnership aimed at ensuring employment for players once their careers in the sport draw to a close.
Details were revealed at the PCA annual meeting at Edgbaston in Birmingham of a unique tie-up with recruitment specialist Newjob4me.com, designed to secure careers for retiring and retired cricketers.
The Berkshire-based consultants, who have already taken on former Middlesex bowler Chris Batt to coordinate the project, will make available their resources and expertise to all cricketers in England and Wales through the respected PCA, the playersí union.
Newjob4me.comís consultants will provide practical support on an individual basis within all areas of employment.
Individuals can be placed into careers using newjob4me.comís existing client base, or directly with one of the 500 companies that support the PCA.
