The trend in the past was to marry and settle down within a few years of graduation and this often included starting a family, limiting the possibilities for a job adventure overseas, said Maureen Sullivan, editor, Drake Beam Morin. Graduates of the 21st century understand that they are the stewards of their own careers. The exciting, enlightening and broadening opportunity to see the world is no longer limited to young people joining the Navy. This global generation indeed sees the whole world as their oyster.
Ken Ramberg, co-founder of JOBTRAK.COM commented, With the Internet a part of their daily lives, today's college students are very much in tune with the concepts of a global economy and through the Internet they clearly see the value of working abroad and gaining a wide variety of experiences on which to build their resume.
One polltaker commented, As a young college grad, I would be more inclined to relocate at this point in my life. I don't have a lot of commitments. I have nothing to lose.
