Based on the feedback of 2,000 trialists over the past two months, TESjobs will be introducing a paid-for SMS job alert notification service to its entire database. The solution, developed by SMS specialists Hybyte, will inform TESjobs subscribers of the latest and most relevant employment opportunities available, provide them with a mechanism to respond ahead of the competition, and supplies TESjobs with an effective CRM tool.
After exploring alternatives, TESjobs chose reverse billing as the most economical payment method. With other mobile operators offering reverse billing in 2002, TESjobs envisage making the service available to all mobile users. The cost to the user has been kept to a minimum of 15 pence per message.
The Times Education Supplement (TES) newspaper has a wide readership, well in excess of half a million per week. As part of this, TESjobs is the most comprehensive teaching recruitment publication in the UK.
