ONS labour market statistics, published this morning for the period January to March 2020, show the beginning of the decline the jobs market as the lockdown took hold. However the situation since then has changed dramatically, the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has said.

Responding to the latest set of UK labour market data from Office for National Statistics (ONS), covering the three months to March 2020, Gerwyn Davies, the CIPD’s Senior Labour Market Adviser comments:

A staggering 80.9% of Brits admit that they’re missing making small talk with colleagues while they’re away from the workplace.
