Spencer Ogden, the fastest-growing international energy recruitment specialist, has today announced two major new appointments.
Brad Lewington has been promoted to Director of EMEA, combining the new role with his existing position as head of Asia Pacific. In his new role, Brad will report directly to CEO, David Spencer Percival, relocating to London having moved to Singapore to open and develop the company’s APAC business in 2012.
Prior to joining Spencer Ogden, Brad spent 10 years working in energy recruitment, starting his career at one of the UK’s largest technical recruitment companies as a contract recruiter. His work within the industry has seen Brad conduct business and strategic account development for major oil companies and large engineering contractors globally. His extensive experience will be vital for building unrivalled operations across the EMEA and APAC regions over the coming year.
Kristen Zeilerbauer has also been appointed to the role of Managing Director in London, helping to drive the performance of the business in the UK.
Kristen started his career as a graduate with Progressive (part of the SThree Group), where he spent five years, becoming a sales manager for its most successful team in London. This latest move see Kristen reunite with David Spencer-Percival, having previously worked with David at Huntress.
Since its foundation in 2010, Spencer Ogden has grown from a headcount of just 25 to over 400 employees globally and over 700 contractors working on energy projects. Its annual turnover for 2013 was £50.3million and the business is on track to reach £75 million in its fifth year of trading.
David Spencer-Percival, CEO of Spencer Ogden, said: “We are incredibly excited about these new appointments. Brad has shown fantastic leadership to establish our APAC business and I’m sure he will have a similar impact on our expanding operations in EMEA. Being in London will enable him to work closely with our senior management team to capitalise on these crucial growth areas for the business.
“I am thrilled to have someone of Kristen’s calibre and experience heading up the London team. Having worked closely with him in that past, I know that together we can drive the UK section of the business forward. We rely on strong leadership to sustain the growth and expertise within the business and both of these individuals are great examples of that.”
These appointments follow that of former Secretary of State for Culture and shadow Secretary of State for Environment Lord Smith, who joined the company as a non-executive director in November.
Spencer Ogden is the first recruitment consultancy to service the entire end-to-end energy sector globally. The focus on all energy industries, from oil and gas to power, nuclear and renewables through energy technology and project financing, is a key driver for the businesses growth and central to its innovative approach.
