Internet commerce in the Asia Pacific region will surge over the next five years, reports Reuters.
This is according to IDC.
The research company forecast that ecommerce revenues in the region will reach USD894 million in 2006, up from USD37 million in 2001.
The number of Internet users in the region (excluding Japan) will also grow from 94 million in 2001, to 291 million in 2006.
