The 2003 CIPD Recruitment Marketing Awards in partnership with The Guardian have been launched. The annual awards promote innovative recruitment marketing solutions and aim to raise standards across the industry.
Launching the award Peter Rice, the Chair of Judges, comments, With employment levels high and business investment low, methods of recruiting people have to be more imaginative than ever. The shape of the workforce is changing too - there's a real need for employers to appeal to the entire pool of talent.
With such issues in mind, this year's Awards include three new categories - Innovation; Best Employee Marketing; and Best Website. The requirements for the Diversity Excellence Award have also become more rigorous.
The new Innovation category seeks to reward ground-breaking thinking - any use of a new medium or a new approach in recruitment marketing, while Best Employee Marketing rewards high quality work for internal communications.
Organisations that talk to their people are more likely to keep their people, says Rice.
Promoting diversity is now high on the agenda for most employers, not least because valuing diversity has such an impact on retention, morale and recruitment. This year we're looking for a presentation and evidence of a thought-through strategy, and the winner will be work that champions effective diversity solutions - it's about more than just single advertisements.
With electronic media increasingly part of everyday lives, the category for Best Website has been redefined. Any recruitment website is eligible for this award, excluding those of recruitment agencies.
Applications for the Awards close on 28 March. For more details, visit:
