CIPD moves to new town centre headquarters

CIPD moved into a brand new headquarters building in Wimbledon town centre.

Situated at 151 The Broadway, Wimbledon, the new building replaces accommodation at Camp Road on Wimbledon Common occupied by the CIPD since 1981.

The CIPD library, previously located in a pre-fabricated extension to the old building, will now be housed in a purpose built area on the ground floor of the new building. This will provide a more user-friendly environment for Europeís largest library of people management and development literature.

The new location will also allow for improved IT facilities, allowing the ongoing growth in information and services available to members and the public from the CIPD website to continue to grow. This improvement would not have been possible if the CIPD had remained at its former semi-rural setting.

The purchase and construction of the new building has been financed entirely from the sale of the site at Camp Road and from existing reserves, without the need to ask for additional money from members.
