Following fifteen years in business, which have seen it develop into a global organisation with over 500 staff and 51 offices worldwide, Elan today reveals that it has restructured its management board in a move which sees
the existing team strengthened by internal promotions. The re-organisation is part of a strategic plan to help Elan realise its aim of becoming the market leader in Europe.
Within the new board, former CEO and founder Adrian Derx will become chairman, leading the board on strategic issues and interfacing with parent company Manpower. Sean Costello - formerly director of ReSource, Elan''s
managed services division - steps in as CEO, and will be responsible for furthering the company goal of European market leader - implementing business strategy and delivering financial targets. Finally, Graeme McLean,
Elan''s European director, takes on the role of COO, delivering operational management and ensuring synergy in Elan practices across the Group.
These changes enable Elan to focus more sharply on achieving its aim, a goal it has been working on by extending its presence and service offering throughout Europe, while positioning itself to maximise market
opportunities. The re-organisation also allows the company to focus on ReSource, which provides a variety of bespoke recruitment, resourcing and HR solutions to companies across all industry sectors. This burgeoning division
has implemented some of the most innovative managed recruitment deals in the UK.
Adrian Derx, Elan''s chairman commented: Having experienced the many highs and lows of the past fifteen years within IT recruitment, Elan has continued to grow by focusing on service delivery and changing our market focus inline
with the times. The re-organisation of the board further strengthens this position and ensures we are well placed to be at the forefront of the industry as the market starts to recover.
Since opening in London in 1987, Elan has established offices throughout the UK, Europe, Australasia and Asia Pacific. Quoted as a Sunday Times top 100 company for profit growth in 2000, Elan has been voted recruitment
consultancy of the year in the Networking Awards three times in a row. In 2000 Elan was acquired by Manpower Inc., one of the world''s largest recruitment service companies.
