Leading global professional services recruiter, Morgan McKinley, is gearing up for growth in the UAE jobs market with a move to larger premises. The Dubai-based business has seen its staff numbers increase by 75% in 2013 alone, and predicts its head count to rise further still in 2014 as it prepares for increased demand from clients and candidates across the region.
Trefor Murphy, Morgan McKinley’s UAE managing director, comments: “With Dubai set to host the 2020 World Expo, employment opportunities are expected to intensify. Historically, each World Expo is a catalyst for economic transformation and generates important legacies for the host city and nation. While hiring levels in the UAE are already buoyant thanks to a stable economy, we envisage the World Expo will have a significant impact over the next few years – in fact recent estimates suggest that as many as 220,000 new jobs will be created. We want to be ready to satisfy the demands of both clients and candidates, hence the move to larger offices which will allow us to continue to grow our head count to accommodate their needs effectively.”
Morgan McKinley’s success in the UAE comes in the year the company celebrates its 25th anniversary. Established in Cork, Ireland over 20 years ago, it has become a global recruitment group with nineteen offices in nine countries.
