Robert Loller, senior manager with Citigroup in the Human Resources and Payroll Services Department in Hartford, Connecticut has been named the recipient of the 2005 IHRIM Summit Award. The Summit Award, IHRIMís highest, recognizes members who have made significant, long-term contributions to the advancement of the associationís mission and goals, and have facilitated the exchange of ideas, solutions and information about issues impacting the management of human resource information. The award will be presented at IHRIMís 25th Annual Conference in Reno, Nevada, May 1-4.
Mr. Loller served as IHRIM Chairman of the Board of Directors from 2001 through 2003. During those years, IHRIM transitioned from being managed by a management company to an independent self-managed organization. Under his leadership, IHRIM created a new strategic direction and has grown and prospered. He has also served on the association board as vice-chair and secretary.
During his 15 years of membership in IHRIM, Mr. Loller has chaired of the conference committee that planned the 1996 conference held in Seattle, and has served as president and other volunteer positions in the New England Chapter. He is a firm believer that anyone who manages HR information, in any capacity, should be involved in IHIRM, and he attributes much of his professional success to the knowledge and networking capabilities provided by the association.
The IHRIM Reno conference, HRMStrategies 2005, begins on Saturday, April 30 with Professional Development Seminars followed on Sunday evening, May 1, with a welcome reception. The conference officially opens Monday, May 2, and attendees may choose from more than 50 educational sessions and have an opportunity to visit the exposition featuring more than 100 exhibit booths and networking activities.
