Europe’s largest poke chain Poke House has announced a career and food workshop where candidates could leave with a job offer in just two hours.
The number of people looking for work in the UK has risen whilst job vacancies fall. In fact, vacancies fell for the ninth time in a row last month and from January to the end of March, the number of vacancies fell by 47,000 from the previous quarter to 1,105,000, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said.
As it grows in the UK, Poke House is on the hunt for people looking to start a career in the hospitality industry and is putting on a free food and career workshop to not just offer advice and networking, but to offer successful candidates a job, in just two hours.
The free-to-attend ‘Poke Artist Workshop’ is open to 20 guests and will see candidates’ network with members of the Poke House UK team including country managers, marketing managers and area managers before learning more about the industry and brand.
Guests will then take part in a food workshop where a ‘Poke Artist’ will teach them more about the Poke House concept, show them how to make the perfect poke bowl and, importantly, enjoy the bowl with other guests.
Finally, all attendees will have a casual interview with members of the Poke House team, with up to half of the attendees being offered a job as a ‘Poke Artist’ before leaving.
Guests can come and leave with a full stomach and job offer in under two hours.

It’s free and I guarantee it’ll be fun. Guests will be with us for less than two hours but will hopefully leave with a greater understanding of the hospitality industry, Poke House as a brand, a growing network and possibly a place as part of the Poke House Squad.
