Kettering General Hospital & Northampton General Hospital are recruiting two Digital Directors to lead digital transformation

The successful candidates will provide vision and technical leadership in the delivery of the digital and technology aims of each Trust, aligned to the digital strategy to enable wider improvements across the group in terms of quality, efficiency and business effectiveness.

Kettering General Hospital (KGH) and Northampton General Hospital (NGH) are seeking two dynamic and experienced Digital Directors to implement a digital vision across both Trusts as they aspire to become the most digital hospital group by 2023. The successful candidates will provide vision and technical leadership in the delivery of the digital and technology aims of each Trust, aligned to the digital strategy to enable wider improvements across the group in terms of quality, efficiency and business effectiveness.

Both Digital Directors will be responsible to a hospital Chief Executive for execution of the strategy and day to day operational matters, and professionally accountable to the Group Chief Digital Information Officer for the Group strategic goals.

KGH and NGH joined forces in 2020 to establish a group model to develop greater collaboration between the two hospitals in the further delivery of high quality, patient focussed clinical services, supported by pooled corporate resources to enable better outcomes for local people. Over the next few years, they will have an exciting story to tell of turning competition into collaboration, variation into seamless alignment, and CQC ratings of ‘Requires Improvement’ into ‘Outstanding’.

Andy Callow, Group Chief Digital and Information Officer, Kettering General Hospital NHS FT and Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust says, “This is an incredible time to join our group as we are embarking on a journey with an ambitious goal in sight; namely to become a university hospitals group which will serve the whole of Northamptonshire and beyond. Together, we will develop hospitals to be proud of by delivering centres of excellence for clinical care and be seen as an inclusive and collaborative employer that offers great opportunities. Our group ambition is to attract, retain and develop the country’s top talent, and we are looking for two kind, compassionate and inclusive leaders who will make things happen and bring people together with them on this journey. IIf you are passionate about all things digital, can demonstrate delivering change in a large complex organisation, in or outside the NHS, and are up for the challenge of helping us achieve our aspiration of becoming the most digital hospital group by 2023, we would really like to hear from you.”

The salary range for the Digital Director roles is £91,004 - £104,927 per annum. For more information and to apply, click here. The closing date is 14th March 2021.
