Following the tremendous response to MBN’s first Big Data event in Edinburgh in May, we have decided to run a series of events exploring the challenges and applications of Big Data with the help of industry leading speakers. On Thursday 5th June, we hosted our second event entitled “Business Insight and Big Data Maturity in 2014″ in the Clydesdale Bank boardroom.
The event featured MBN Non Executive Director Paul Forrest, who discussed the state of maturity in the Insight & Analytics sector and introduced MBN’s very own Big Data Maturity model. This was followed by the industry perspective from Ben Nicaudie (Big Data and Analytics, IBM) providing insight into data and analytics in day to day operations at IBM and Andy Judson (Director of Data Science, Aridhia Informatics Ltd) covering Aridhia’s journey to Software as a Service for Data Science. The presentations concluded with questions and feedback from the audience, which provoked some interesting debate and insight.
