New Group HR Manager for the Stannah Group

Shirley Powell has joined the Stannah Group at their head office in Andover. Shirley has been appointed to the role of Group Human Resources Manager, where she replaces Val Geoghegan, following Val's well-earned retirement from the role after twenty five years with the Stannah Group.

Shirley began her career with Thorn EMI plc as a Graduate Personnel Officer, and is delighted to be back in the engineering environment with such a prestigious company as Stannah. She is qualified in the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and has a Masters Degree in Human Resources.

As a Human Resources Professional with over twenty years experience of running HR teams, Shirley has developed her career through gaining a wealth of experience across a diverse range of International and UK Companies, including the Bank of Ireland, Coutts, and the Walt Disney Company. Shirley's home, shared with her husband and two teenage children, is in Basingstoke.

Shirley comments:

Shirley reports directly to Jon Stannah, Managing Director at Watt Close, who adds: 'We wish Shirley every success in her new role and have no doubt that the Stannah Group will benefit from Shirley's considerable experience within the HR world.'
