From Wednesday 27 April, recruiters currently struggling to recruit Quantity Surveyors will have a new magazine to use. But, unlike all the other recruitment choices in the construction sector, this one is designed specifically with them in mind.
QS Week has a controlled circulation, meaning all readers have met pre-determined criteria to ensure they work as a QS. Over 20,000 QS professionals in both public and private sectors will receive QS Week from 27 April, which is more quantity surveyors than any other title.
This new launch uses the fact that, as the role of the quantity surveyor has grown so has the QS communityís need for its own publication. Developed to provide the profession with a voice, QS Week addresses the issues that matter most to quantity surveyors while showcasing the industryís latest job opportunities.
QS Week incorporates news, jobs and analysis covering all aspects of the quantity surveying profession. Each week QS Week tackles issues such as whole life costing, PFI and new legislation, while featuring industry specific articles and interviews.
QS Weeksí Consultant Editor Lee Mallett MRICS brings a wealth of journalistic experience to QS Week, having previously edited Building Design and Estates Times (now Property Week).
íThe increasing sophistication of the service quantity surveyors provide has not only radically improved the professionís usefulness to clients, but made it seem increasingly odd that there isnít a magazine written with quantity surveyors in mind. My bet is other construction professionals will also find it a useful addition to their weekly reading list.í
Seb Byrd, Advertising Manager says,
ìQS Week is designed to ease the recruitment of quantity surveyors. Our 100% targeted circulation means that every reader is a potential candidate for advertisers. The support of the Careers in Construction website and The Construction Careers Event also allows our advertisers to benefit from a recruitment offering that spans across various media.î
With a media portfolio that reaches 80% of the construction industry, Emap Construct is well placed to introduce a new B2B title. ìQS Week joins our winning portfolio of construction titles and will soon achieve its target of becoming the market leading magazine for quantity surveyorsî adds Graham Harman, Managing Director of Emap Construct.
ìQS Week was developed to satisfy the QS communityís need for their own specialised title, providing much needed representation to a profession that has long been neglected.ì Graham Harman, Managing Director of Emap Construct.
