Leading training provider, FTC Business School, has introduced a Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualification for personnel practitioners in Liverpool, which demystifies employment legislation, including the changes taking place in 2004.
The industry-recognised Certificate in Personnel Practice provides the most up-to-date information concerning the complex area of employment law, and will help professionals to implement the regulation amendments anticipated in October.
Upon completion, professional learners will be honed in the skills of personnel managers, officers and administrators, and therefore able to take on a variety of duties including: setting an organisation’s policies, implementing best practice, delivering training solutions and managing employee relations.
FTC Business School is the only training provider that helps learners to qualify in as little as 10 months. Attendance is one full day per fortnight, starting on Tuesday 14 September from 9.30am to 4.30pm. FTC Business School Tutor, Denise Clark, is qualified as a Chartered Member of the CIPD. She said:
As well as giving a solid grounding in every aspect of people-management and development, the course provides a unique opportunity for people to gain first-hand experience of employment tribunals. They will attend unfair dismissal cases and examine them from both from an employee and an employer point of view, enabling them to handle the situation should it arise in the workplace.
FTC Business School Liverpool is offering free membership and annual subscription to the CIPD, worth 160, to anyone who completes their registration for the Certificate in Personnel Practice course by the end of August 2004. Included in the course Learners are being offered free diagnostic e-learning sessions prior to embarking on the full ECDL qualification (European Computer Driving Licence).
The course is based around a flexible learning timetable and is delivered by a range of expert tutors with industry experience. It is not restricted to the academic year, and cover four modules:-
