New REC council members elected

The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) council election results were announced at the Annual General Meeting on today

The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) council election results were announced at the Annual General Meeting on today.

Using online voting, 5% of recruitment businesses in REC membership voted for their preferred candidates to fill the corporate positions on the board, and 7% of members of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals (IRP) voted for candidates to represent the IRP.

The four corporate members elected today are:

  • Mandy Brook, Recruitment South East Ltd
  • Tracy Evans, Pertemps Ltd
  • Michael Cooper, The Best Connection Group
  • Chris Kenny, Levy Associates Ltd


The two individual members elected today are:

  • Louise Hewett, Hewett Recruitment
  • Philip Higgins, Rullion Engineering Ltd


REC chief executive Kevin Green said:

“The REC council plays a vital role in helping us drive up professional standards in recruitment and improve the profile and reputation of our industry. Today’s successful candidates have campaigned hard and I am pleased to see so many REC members taking the time to vote to choose who represents them at this strategic level.”
