The Professional Representation Network, the talent management service for contractors, is carrying out a survey to gather exclusive data on life as a contractor.

The survey aims to cover all aspects of working as a contractor, from securing the best new job to how working as a contractor impacts on personal issues like obtaining a mortgage.

The Professional Representation Network says that the survey will be used to improve its insight into the world of contractors.

Kristian Gourlay, Director at Professional Representation Network, comments: “We work extremely closely with a huge and diverse pool of highly talented contractors but we want to ensure that our business keeps on top of the latest issues and trends that are affecting contractors.”

“We want our services to be as closely aligned as possible to what contractors need, so that our bespoke service remains as effective and highly valued as ever.”

The survey will track the views of contractors on a full range of issues, including:

  • the impact of the broader economy and the availability of work
  • working abroad
  • training and remaining skilled
  • working with recruitment consultants

Kristian Gourlay concludes: “By delving into the real issues that affect the working lives of contractors, we will be in a better position to offer them comprehensive financial support, help them with the handling of legal issues and contracts, and be better placed to open the door to specialist recruitment agencies all over the world.”
