Omega promotions to spearhead new midlands recruitment centre of excellence

Senior appointments integral to expansion programme of recruitment groupís operations in the Midlands; engineering sector together with industrial and commercial clients serviced by dual brand strategy

Omega Resource Group has announced the appointment of two senior managers to spearhead development of specialist recruitment services targeted at Midlands businesses and candidates.

Mark Norton and Robert Dove will head up their respective divisions Omega Workforce and Omega Selection Services and will be based at the new Worcester office (The Crown House, Blackpole East, Blackpole Road, Worcester, WR3 8SG), due to be opened in April 2007.

According to Omega, the market in the Midlands ñ especially in the wake of the recent run down of the automotive sector - needs a serious and responsible recruitment consultancy which is able to provide a cross section of recruitment solutions to a region which includes some of the largest companies in the UK, and an available pool of highly skilled workers from technical and professional sectors to trade specialists.

Omega intends to provide this specialist service through its dual operations strategy which includes Omega Workforce, a commercial and industrial recruitment service which offers out of town offices, rapid response and 24 hour service, and Omega Selection Services, a technical and specialist recruitment consultancy which source highly skilled candidates for both permanent and contract positions within all sectors.

Robert Dove ñ a graduate of Lancaster University has a track record of working in the recruitment sector. Before specialising in Technical recruitment Rob gained experience in the automotive and IT sectors, both of which have fast become recruitment specialisms. Rob has continued to progress within Omega taking on the added responsibility of graduate trainer and business development manager. This new venture is set to see him bring the expertise gained within water, nuclear, consultancies, automation, engineering, IT and general manufacturing industries to businesses in and around the Midlands.

Mark Norton ñ joined Omega in 2004 since then he has made significant headway within the local market and has established himself as a point of contact for rapid response, delivery and precision. Having work within the three divisions of the company Mark found his niche within Omega Workforce offering clients a service led approach to recruitment which has led him to build strong, lasting relationships with many national clients. Having managed the extremely successful Tewkesbury branch for the past year Mark is set to kick start the Worcester office with the same client focused approach.
