BP, one of the worldís largest energy companies has appointed SAS, part of the Publicis Groupe network as its single recruitment marketing communications supplier for graduate and experienced candidate attraction. SAS won the contract in a competitive pitch against a number of agencies. Until now, recruitment marketing was conducted through multiple global suppliers.

As one of the worldís biggest energy companies, BP employs over 96,000 people across 100 countries. Over the coming months, BP will work to transition all existing and new recruitment marketing work to SAS who will strategically lead all activity with the support of the Publicis Groupe network.

SASí recruitment marketing relationship with BP will begin with the 2009 Spring Graduate Campaign and will include the promotion of the BP Ultimate Field Trip on campus and through PR channels.

Emma Hardaker-Jones, Head of Resourcing: Sourcing and Policy, BP said; ëBP has very specific recruitment objectives both in the short and long term and we believe that a single supplier who can deliver through all forms of marketing communications on a global level is what we need. SAS and the wider Publicis Groupe network have a proven track record for developing and delivering strategic recruitment campaignsí.

Jeremy Sice, MD, SAS added; ëWe are delighted to have been appointed by BP and look forward to working with the global recruitment team to increase awareness and attractiveness of BP as an employer. This win demonstrates how the media neutral disciplines within our network can deliver a strategic approach and solution, provide BP with a long-term plan to complement more traditional advertising channels and build a deeper level of engagement with all candidates across all levels and marketsí.
