Scotlandís future leaders set to develop their Leading Edge

Scotlandís future leaders will have the opportunity to gain the edge in their careers through a unique forum launching in January 2007

Scotlandís future leaders will have the opportunity to gain the edge in their careers through a unique forum launching in January 2007.

The inaugural Leading Edge forum will be held on 24 January 2007 at the GO Conference Suite in George Square, Glasgow. The Forum will provide a regular opportunity for Scotlandís aspiring Chief Executives from across the public, private and third sectors, to meet and share best practice, success or frustration with like-minded ambitious individuals. As well as career coaching and development, there will also be opportunities to provide mentoring and to be mentored outside your own professional membership bodies and your own organisation.

The Forum has been developed by Rockpools, one of the UKís leading talent development consultancies, with its Scottish partner, MJI Business Solutions. Together, they have a strong track record of supporting individuals and organisations to build and strengthen their leadership capacity to drive forward positive change, recently working with high-profile clients, such as the Cabinet Office, Commission for Equalities and Human Rights, Olympic Delivery Authority, Thames Gateway, Glasgow City Council and East Dunbartonshire Council.

Hamish Davidson, Chair and Senior Partner of Rockpools, said: ìOur aim is simple: we want to help deliver a smart, successful Scotland by building a diverse, courageous and dynamic leadership pool. This pioneering Forum will bring together some of the brightest talent in Scotland to support them in preparing for their, and the countryís, success.î

MJI Business Solutionsí Chief Executive and Rockpools partner, Melvyn Ingleson, said: ìWe are fully committed to supporting the next generation of Scotlandís leaders and, together, we have the combined expertise, experience and passion to support them in finding their own personal leading edge.î
