"We know that job hunting activity is usually a pre-curser to what's happening in the wider economy and our own data reveals that the amount of people applying for jobs fell by 5.9% during the same period. The fact that we also narrowly staved off a recession is extremely concerning and clearly the massive amount of political and economic uncertainty is having a severe impact on UK businesses.
"As we move further into the final two months of the year, organisations are going to need to take a step back and reassess their priorities for 2020. Clearly, professionals are worried about moving jobs right now and this is despite employers doing all they can to attract more candidates to their vacancies.
