Develop a pharmacist career at a leading University Hospitals Trust in Northamptonshire in 2023

Hospital pharmacists wanting to progress their career within the University Hospitals of Northamptonshire NHS Group should consider three vacancies at Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust where their clinical and leadership skills can be developed in a progressive and welcoming environment.

Kettering General Hospital is recruiting a Specialist Surgical Pharmacist who will have the opportunity to rotate through various surgical specialists including intensive care and pre-op and provide a clinical pharmacy service to all surgery wards.

The hospital is encouraging applicants from pharmacists that have completed or are working towards competition of a Pharmacy Clinical Diploma. This is a Band 7 role with a salary of £41,659 to £47,672 per annum. The closing date is 8th January 2023.

Also, due to the impending retirement of the current manager, there is an opportunity for a Pharmacy Operations Manager. The operational team are responsible for supplying thousands of medicines to patients every day and are key to the excellent care provided.

The role involves operational management and leadership within the pharmacy department and co-ordinating the provision of all technical services, ensuring high quality patient care in conjunction with Deputy Chief Pharmacist/Pharmacy Clinical Lead. This is a Band 8a role with a salary of £48,526 to £54,619 per annum. The closing date is 8th January 2023.

There is also a vacancy for an EEA Qualified Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team as a Band 5 transition pharmacist, where they will complete a training programme from 3-6 months, after which there is an option to stay as a rotational pharmacist. The salary is £27,055 to £32,934 a year per annum and the closing date is 29th January 2023.
