Executive Job Search Service Reassembles Veteran Team to Focus on 100k Market

New York, NY - Reuniting key members of the team that helped establish HotJobs.com as a category-leader, TheLadders.com, a job search service designed to streamline online recruitment in the 100k segment of the employment marketplace, announces the appointment of David F. Carvajal to the post of Head of Recruiting and Business Development.

Focused on recruiting and training TheLadders.com talent as well as managing the company’s relationships with executive recruiters, Carvajal joins fellow HotJobs.com alumni, Marc Cenedella, Founder and President of TheLadders.com, Alexandre Douzet, Co-founder and Vice President of Operations at TheLadders.com, and Andrew Koch, Director, Community at TheLadders.com. Prior to founding TheLadders.com, Cenedella was Senior Vice President, Finance & Operations at HotJobs.com, ultimately shepherding the company’s 436 million sale to Yahoo!, Inc. (NASD: YHOO) in 2002. Douzet was Director, Online Marketing at HotJobs.com, responsible for building the firm’s marketing infrastructure. Koch was Marketing Manager at HotJobs.com.

Also reunited with this group is Kevin Ryan, CEO, DoubleClick (NASD: DCLK), Board Director, HotJobs.com, and lead investor in TheLadders.com.

Carvajal joins TheLadders.com from The Carley Group, LLC, a real estate investment and development company in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, where he was President. Prior to that, he was General Manager of HotJobs.com’s AgencyExchange, the online marketplace focused on staffing agency customers, and Senior Vice President of Recruiting. Having joined HotJobs.com as a Co-founder in 1997, his initial post with the company was Vice President, Human Resources. Before joining HotJobs.com, Carvajal was Manager and Senior Recruiter at Otec.com, LTD, a New York based executive recruiting firm.

Now reaching over 110,000 readers, TheLadders.com addresses the specialized needs of the high-end market by turning the traditional recruitment business model upside down.
