“Billings for temporary workers and contractors was still increasing at the end of last year, but the demand for permanent staff continued to rise at a faster pace than that signalled for short-term workers.
“April sees the the new rules around claiming travel and subsistence coming into force and it will be interesting over the next few months to see the effect that this will have on the market. For recruiters who have not already done so, it’s imperative that they review their business model to ensure they will be compliant come the 6th of April.”
