- Deal: Adzuna has acquired the assets of Joblift, the German job search platform
- Germany: local brand, upgraded platform: Joblift.de will continue to operate as a standalone brand in Germany, preserving the local market expertise and traffic partnerships that built it. It will now be backed by Adzuna's tech platform and traffic reach - improving the service for recruiting companies and job seekers.
- Elsewhere, one brand: In the UK, USA, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands and France, Joblift's business will be combined fully into Adzuna, giving advertisers in those markets greater access a wider pool of candidates
- Industry positioning: Joblift is Adzuna's fourth acquisition in four years, following Getwork, Seiza, Trovit and Mitula - and makes Adzuna one of only a few players in the industry with a meaningful presence in all four of the world's top job markets: the USA, UK, Germany and France
Adzuna, the job matching platform, has acquired key assets of Joblift, the German job search engine.
Germany is one of the largest recruitment markets in the world, and Joblift built a strong local profile there over a decade, with its own traffic partnerships and market expertise. Adzuna has been active in the German market for many years; this acquisition substantially expands its reach, user base and employer client relationships in the country. Adzuna will continue to run Joblift as a standalone brand and company - a deliberate move to protect the brand history and local relationships, and to give Joblift's existing clients and users continuity through the transition.
In all the other markets where Joblift operates - the UK, USA, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands and France - the business will be folded into Adzuna. The combination gives advertisers in those markets access to a broader base of candidates through a single platform, including for roles that are traditionally hard to fill.
Combining the two businesses strengthens both. Joblift's existing clients will be served by upgraded technology, and a combined set of traffic sources and channel partners that will strengthen the experience for Adzuna's clients too. In Germany specifically, the acquisition brings a sales office in a key strategic market - a base from which to launch further products and services in Germany over time. The deal brings the experienced local Joblift sales and customer success teams into the wider Adzuna organisation.
Joblift is Adzuna's fourth acquisition in four years, following Getwork in the USA, Seiza in France, and Trovit and Mitula's job verticals across Europe. Together, the deals cement Adzuna's position as a leading consolidator of job search engines internationally, and particularly in Europe. Adzuna is one of the only players in the industry with a meaningful presence in the big four markets of USA, UK, Germany and France.
Doug Monro, CEO of Adzuna, comments: "Joblift is our fourth acquisition in four years, and it makes total sense for both businesses. Joblift's team spent years earning trust in the German market - relationships with employers, job boards, traffic partners and job seekers - and this deal means that work continues, backed by Adzuna's platform and scale. Job seekers want to find the right job for them, and for that you need AI matching technology that works at scale. That's what Joblift's users and clients now get access to. Put those together and employers fill roles faster, including the ones that are normally difficult and costly to fill."
