A new, free to air, recruitment television channel is to be launched in September on Sky Digital. This unprecedented venture was conceived by Mark Goldberg, founder of MSB International and former Chairman of Crystal Palace football club. Other heavy hitters to be associated with the venture are Roderick Macleod, former General Manager of Adia (now Adecco) and Mark Cullen, former MD of Live TV, who heads Enteraction TV, the company responsible for developing and managing content for the channel.
TV Job Shop will cover four main areas: IT, Professional Services, Medical and Media/Administration. The intention is to offer job seekers specialist editorial content, discussion forums and interviews with key figures. For the employer, the channel will offer a tiered pricing structure beginning with singles vacancies and stretching to one-minute corporate branded videos.
Mark Goldberg, explaining the merits of the service commented ìCompanies will be able to tell the world why people should work for them, allowing them to show-off their working environment in a way that cannot be portrayed using traditional classified and trade press mediaî. ìTV Job Shop is at the forefront of the digital revolution. It is the worldís first recruitment channel to embrace the digital TV and Internet age. The service will appeal to jobseekers and recruitment agencies worldwideî.
