Innovative recruitment training business completes management buyout to drive next stage of ambitious growth strategy

Innovative recruitment training business, Retrained Search, has completed a management buyout to help drive the next stage of its ambitious growth strategy.

Established in 2018 by experienced recruiter, Louise Archer, following her own frustrations in working on a contingent basis, Retrained Search has evolved into a group of passionate retained search experts, dedicated to helping recruiters transition their business model.

Over the last six years, the business has progressed from an in-person training provider into a community of over 1,000 recruiters across the UK, US and Australia who have all benefitted from its suite of online resources and training programs, designed to transform mindsets and inspire recruiters to deliver retained projects for clients.

With an ambitious strategy in place to accelerate revenue by 240% to £3.4 million by the close of 2027, the Retrained Search leadership team has now a completed a management buyout to help drive this next stage of international growth.

As such, Retrained Search is now owned in partnership between original founder, Louise Archer, and directors, Sarah Chester-Nelson, Clare Brevitt and Jordan Taylor, while a pot of shares have been put into trust for future employees.

Completing a Management Buyout of Retrained Search seemed like an obvious step to really unite the senior leadership team in our future direction, while ensuring upcoming leaders have the opportunity to have a stake in the business. Underpinned by a global fully remote team, Retrained Search has built an impressive portfolio of clients within the recruitment sector, including NES Firscroft, Amoria Bond and AirSwift.

Over the last two years alone, the business has accelerated growth by an impressive 60%, while increasing its market share overseas in the US, Australia and Japan.
